SIP AWARD-WINNING SAUVIGNONS AND SYRAHS

Your attendees may already know the Okanagan is a prime location in British Columbia – and Canada – for grape growing, with more than 75 varietals grown in the region. It’s time to taste that Okanagan wine!

There are nearly 200 licensed wineries within an hour’s drive (and one conveniently located in downtown Penticton), with plenty of professional tour companies ready to take your crew on a wine-tasting excursion as an incentive … or how about a unique team-building experience like grape stomping or wine blending?

A number of wineries offer intimate venue space for smaller group meetings or networking receptions.

Pressed for time? The BC VQA Wine Information Centre is walk across the parking lot from Penticton’s Trade and Convention Centre. Find a bottle or two to take home, or last-minute gifts for speakers and delegates.

A few minutes northeast of the city, dozens of Naramata Bench wineries dot the stunning scenery above Okanagan Lake and can be accessed via the Kettle Valley Trail on a team-building hike or bike. Several distilleries and cideries can break up a day of wine tasting, or book a lunch meeting at a winery bistro.

On the other side of the lake, Summerland’s Bottleneck Drive is also a compact touring option. South of Penticton, the District Wine Village offers a one-stop-shop for wine enthusiasts, leading to the wineries and bistros of Oliver and Osoyoos.
